Welcome to Mind Body Spirit School of Massage

Our Mind Body Spirit School of Massage School is dedicated to providing high-quality education and training to students who are passionate about the healing power of touch. Our experienced instructors offer a comprehensive curriculum that includes both theoretical and practical knowledge of massage therapy. Our graduates are well prepared to succeed in a variety of careers, including private practice, spas, hospitals, and sports clinics.

Course Curriculum

Massage Therapy 500 Hour Program

This Massage Therapy course curriculum is designed to prepare students to become licensed massage therapists. At Mind Body Spirit School of Massage, you’ll receive the instruction needed to build confidence, develop strong hands-on skills, and succeed as a professional massage therapist.

Massage Therapy Technique

200 hrs

The study (both lecture and applied) of the manipulation of soft tissues for therapeutic purposes, with at least 125 hours dedicated to the study of Swedish massage therapy techniques.

Human Anatomy

50 hrs

The study of the structure of the human body including the bones, joints, muscles and all body systems.

Human Physiology

25 hrs

The Study of the functions of the various systems of the body.

Kinesiology

50 hrs

The study of the fundamentals of the musculoskeletal system and biomechanics. The students will learn specific palpation of each muscle and its attachments as well as the actions it produces.

Pathology

40 hrs

The study of human disease and the effects of the disease. This course will deal with types of diseases, agents of disease, modes of transmission, risk factors for disease, contraindications, and indications for massage.

Health & Hygiene

20 hrs

The study of health, hygiene, first aid, universal

precautions, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), disease prevention, self-care techniques and personal and professional skills necessary to work with the public.

Business Practices & Professional Ethics

45 hrs

The study of massage therapy laws and rules, business practices, and professional ethics standards established by the law or Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).

Hydrotherapy

20 hrs

The use of generally accepted methods of external applications of water in the form of either heat or cold.

Internship

50 hrs

The internship program at our massage school in College Station, Texas and begins after the successful completion of the first 250 hours of massage therapy training. The internship program is a supervised, hands-on program in which students provide massage therapy services to the general public. All 50 hours must be hands-on.

Optional Add-on Courses

Below are just a few of the techniques and subjects you’ll encounter throughout the program. Our curriculum is designed to build strong foundational skills while introducing students to a wide range of therapeutic, clinical, and wellness-based approaches. 

Therapeutic use of heated stones to reduce muscle tension, enhance circulation, and deepen relaxation. Includes safety protocols and session integration. 


Use of essential oils to enhance relaxation, emotional balance, and therapeutic outcomes. 


Use of silicone or vacuum cups to lift tissue, increase circulation, and reduce muscle tension. 


Seated massage techniques ideal for corporate settings, events, and mobile environments. Emphasis on ergonomics, safety, and effective upper-body relief. 


Slow, targeted pressure techniques designed to release chronic tension in deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. 


Pre-event, post-event, and maintenance techniques designed to support athletic performance, recovery, and injury prevention. 


Hands-on methods to stretch and release fascia, improving mobility, posture, and chronic pain conditions. 


Identification and release of hyper-irritable muscle knots that refer pain to other areas of the body. 


Use of hot and cold therapies such as packs, compresses, and contrast treatments to reduce inflammation, relieve pain, and support healing. 


Gentle, rhythmic techniques that encourage lymph flow, reduce swelling, and support immune system function. 


Gentle techniques focused on the craniosacral system to support nervous-system balance and stress relief. 


Pressure-point techniques applied to the feet, hands, and ears that correspond to systems throughout the body, supporting relaxation and balance. 


Safe, effective techniques for expectant clients, including positioning, contraindications, and prenatal comfort strategies. 


Specialized assessment and treatment techniques for neck pain, whiplash, tension headaches, and restricted mobility. 


External and intraoral techniques for treating jaw tension, TMJ dysfunction, and related headache patterns. 


A manual therapy approach using gentle client muscle contractions against resistance to improve joint mobility and reduce tension. 


A comfort-based technique that places the body in positions of ease to release muscle tension and improve range of motion. 


Training in ergonomic massage tools that allow deeper pressure while reducing strain on the therapist’s hands and wrists. 


Exfoliating spa treatments that improve skin texture and enhance the overall client experience. 


Warm paraffin applications used to soften skin, relieve joint discomfort, and promote relaxation. 


Mineral-rich wraps and masks that detoxify, hydrate, and nourish the skin. 


Hands-on CPR training and certification to ensure safety and professionalism in therapeutic environments.
